Most authorities would agree that using current Nd:YAG technology, it is possible to permanently remove hair up to 85-90%. Further, histology studies have found destroyed and denatured hair follicles cells in post treatment.
Unfortunately not, as darker hairs are most easily treated due to the high concentration of melanin that allows maximum absorption of the laser.
Side effects from Nd:YAG are usually minor, rare and can be avoided by taking necessary precautions before, during and after treatment. Our highly skilled therapists will take you through all that needs to be done to avoid these side effects.
Nd:YAG works by emitting a wavelength of high energy light, which, when focused on a certain skin condition will create heat and destroy cells and hair follicles. Laser technology works by targeting dark pigment. Therefore, it works best on pale skin and dark coarse hair. The lighter the skin and the darker and more coarse the hair, the better are the results.
